Fabulous Fine Dining Experience at NINE-TEN Restaurant

Foodie Nation Come Together!

From top Chefs to award winning cuisine, Nine-Ten is a cozy Restaurant nestled in the Grande Colonial  La Jolla! Did you know their Executive Chef Jason Knibb was the first Chef in San Diego to be invited to compete on Food Network's very own Iron Chef America?! In addition, their Sous Chef Ramon Bojorquez was invited to contend on Top Chef Season 11, premiering October 2nd, 2013. How lucky are San Diegans to have two Cheftestants in one location!

The perfect combination of sophistication and elegance, NINE-TEN is the place to Dine. The night we visited, two surrounding tables were celebrating Anniversaries which provided a nice environment of warmth and companionship. Gentleman, if you really want to impress your significant other on a special day then this is your dining solution.

We requested to be seated on the Grande Terrace to enjoy an intimate setting and the stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. The weather was perfect and the experience was a memory that will last a lifetime. We highly recommend you request Miss Amy as your server! She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu as she made our mouths water with her fresh ingredient descriptions. Thanks AMY!! We appreciate you Greeting Us with a smile, sincere generosity and some Bubbly!

NINE-TEN Restaurant in La Jolla - Patio seating views are amazing!
A creative and unforgettable menu continually reinvented based on the freshest seasonal ingredients. Did you know they have their very own hydroponic vertical earth garden? So many wonderful choices on the menu ranging from starters like Hamachi Sashimi to the renowned Jamaican Jerk Pork Belly.

Jamaican Jerk Pork Belly Starter
We decided on the 3-Course Menu which includes one hot or cold starter, one entree, one dessert or one cheese. If you are feeling adventuresome then the  "Mercy of the Chef" Tasting Menu is delicious, featuring a five course tasting menu prepared exclusively for your whole table. Don't forget to pair it with wine, NINE-TEN has an amazing wine cellar hosting more than 3,000 bottles of inventory.

Tuna Starter - Jicama, avocado, cilantro, lime, jalapeno, tortilla, cilantro flowers

Chef Knibb's love and passion for food was apparent in the delivery of our starters, do you see that picture? I felt guilty plunging my fork into this piece of art, of course that went away the second my taste buds started to sing. The presentation scores a 10/10.

Fresh Tuna
Roasted Northern Halibut - leeks, pancetta, baby potatoes, clams, pickled pearl onions, celery, cracker foam, corn & clam emulsion

Red wine braised Prime Beef Short Ribs

Dessert was fabulous, who couldn't fall in love with half baked chocolate cake drenched in the goodness of caramel sauce and whipped cream. Don't have much of a sweet tooth? No problem, they offer a variety of domestic farmstead cheeses from all over the Country.
